6 To 4 Months prior to the Wedding:
- Send your engagement announcement to the newspaper.
- Select and reserve accommodation for out of town guests if necessary.
- Finalise your guest list, and select and secure your wedding cake baker.
- Select and secure your wedding transportation.
- Order the men's attire.
- Finalise any ordering that must be done prior to the wedding.
- Finalise honeymoon details and make the necessary reservations.
- If you are moving, begin to make arrangements and begin your packing.
- Discuss order of service with the celebrant or priest and choose the hymns, songs and music.
4 Months to 6 Weeks prior to the Wedding
- Mail your invitations to your out of town guests.
- Reserve your hairstylist appointment and make any other pre-wedding beauty appointments necessary (manicure, spa, etc) for yourself and guests.
- Select and make an appointment with a make-up artist.
- Purchase all wedding accessories such as the ring pillow, garter belt, candles, guestbook and ceremony programs etc.
- Plan the hens/bucks parties and any other celebrations.
- Choose a wedding song or two and dust off your dance shoes.
- Mail your invitations to your local guests.
